about
Our story
Alexander's Playhouse is a community black box theater in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, producing live theater in the round.
We produce literary masterworks — the plays and stories that have outlasted the century that made them — with actors, designers, and crew from Fergus Falls and the surrounding communities of Ottertail County.
1.
In the round means the playing area sits at the center of the room with the audience circled around it. Find yourself up close and personal with the actors themselves. Sometimes, we'll take the shape of an alley stage. Sometimes, you won't know what to expect. But you can absolutely trust that we will entertain, teach, and inspire. Note: these productions are not necessarily interactive, just intimate.

in the round
Close proximity is a sensory experience, not just a visual one. We build our productions to reach all five senses — taste included, when an intermission reception is appropriate.
